Ondara will once again become the epicentre of cycling tourism with the celebration of the third edition of the Marxa Cicloesportiva L'Àguila de Segària, which will take place next Sunday 23 February. This event, organised by Trifitness31, will bring together cyclists from all over the region to enjoy a day of sport and nature.
The presentation of the event was held today in Ondara and was attended by the Councillor for Sports, Jordi Ruiz; the representatives of the organisation, Dani Cepa and Ramón Mut; and the sponsors Juanjo Mahiques, from Màxima Bikes, and Marisa, from the Hotel La Casona de Las Flores. Also present were the head and officer of the Local Police of Ondara, Toni Galiano and Desiré Torres.
A demanding journey
With a route of 122 kilometres and a positive gradient of 1.710 metres, the race offers a demanding layout but with great scenic appeal. The event is not competitive and will be the second stage of the Volta Ciclodeportiva València 2025.
The start and finish will be located at the Bullring of Ondara, and participants will travel through municipalities such as La Xara, Pedreguer, Gata de Gorgos, Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Moraira, Benissa, Pins, Xaló, Orba, Pego and Ràfol d'Almúnia. The event will start at 09:00 on Sunday 23 February 2025.

Registrations to participate in the test are now available through the Trifitness31 website. L'Àguila de Segària is a ride open to all types of cyclists, both for those seeking to overcome a personal challenge and for those who wish to enjoy a day of cycling in the heart of nature.
Participants will enjoy various benefits, such as a gift for registration, medical assistance during the race and a complete supply of provisions. Thanks to the support of the Sports Department of the Ondara City Council and numerous sponsors, the race continues to grow and has become one of the most important in the Marina Alta.
