The latest update of COVID-19 in the Marina Alta adds 22 new infections, eight more infections than in the last update on Tuesday, which registered 14 infections.
The most striking data is the 10 new positive cases registered in Teulada-Moraira, the municipality thus adding 669 infections since the start of the pandemic. Dénia has registered 4 new cases, while Xàbia adds 2, Calp 3, Orba, 2 and 1 in Pego.
Since March 2020, the Marina Alta has recorded 9.863 positive cases, of which 54 are active at the moment (seven more than in the previous update). The death toll remains at 201.
With this new upturn in cases, the Marina Alta increases the cumulative incidence to 31,65 per hundred thousand inhabitants (on Tuesday it stood at 27,37). By municipalities, after the rise of the case in Teulada-Moraira, the incidence has shot up to 88,67 (the municipality had had an incidence of 0 for weeks). Orba also records an incidence of 89,61 due to the last two positives.
For its part, Calp (60,02 of accumulated incidence and Xàbia (49,97 of accumulated incidence) slightly lower the figure. The rest of the region maintains very positive data, even of new normality.
