The Ministry of Health has published data on the evolution of the coronavirus by municipalities in which a slight rebound in infections is observed in the Marina Alta compared to the previous day. The region has registered 44 new infections, 13 more than last Tuesday. Despite not being a very pronounced difference, it breaks the downward trend of new cases. In total there are 14.490 infections since March 2020, of which 160 are active at the moment.
Regarding the accumulated incidence in the Department of Health of Dénia, this decreases considerably, reaching 93,77 infections per 100.000 inhabitants.
On the other hand, the most negative note is marked by the two new deaths that have been registered in the region. One of them belongs to Dénia, which already adds 40, and the other to Teulada-Moraira, which with this sum already 15. In total, the Marina Alta has added 209 positive deaths in COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
By municipalities, Dénia has been the town that has recorded the most infections in this update with 13 positives; Calp and Benissa follow with 5. Teulada has added 4 and Xàbia 3. With two new positive cases is Gata de Gorgos, Pego, Xaló and El Verger. And with 1 new contagion Els Poblets, Ondara and Sagra.
