Everything arrives and, as such, also the atmosphere and the Fallas joy of the few municipalities in the region that celebrate the popular and historic Fallas. They were about to be held in 2020, but the whole world stopped that March.
The Marina Alta is not a particularly Fallas region, when compared to the Valencian ones. However, in some of its municipalities this tradition does exist that, more than less, unites the entire Valencian Community in some way. Dénia, Pego and Calp are the three towns with the most tradition, without forgetting Pami.

Dénia
For its part, the capital of the region already breathed the party atmosphere since last week. In this sense, it was the most advanced population. On Friday, March 11, he took some of his ninots to the streets. Normally, the plantà takes place between the days of the 15th and the 16th, so that by the 17th they are all up and running.
At the beginning of this week, in the capital of the region, the celebration was already fully recognizable with its streets cut and redirected. So much so that the local police of the municipality yesterday shared a map with the roads by which you can not circulate in Dénia, rather than on foot.
A total of 11 faults make up the Dianense fallero tour. For this reason, it is the locality of the region in which the Fallas are much more relevant. These are:

Pego
“El cor de la Marina”, or Pego, is the next municipality with the most failures. Although, the difference with Dénia is quite large, since Pego only has three: Falla la Font, Falla del Convent and Falla Plaça i Natzaré.
The Falla del Convent was the earliest riser and held its plantà on the morning of the 15th at 08:00, while the one at Pla de la Font did so between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Finally, the Plaça i Natzaré yesterday was beginning preparations to bring out their ninots and have them ready for today.
It is worth mentioning that this year the Falla del Convent celebrates its 25th anniversary. Therefore, it is expected that the Fallas party there will welcome all the residents and visitors of the Marina Alta with a special warmth. Although there is already bad news, the orchestra scheduled for the failure has already been postponed until new notice.
Calp
La Falla Calp Vell is the only one in the town of Calp. Despite this, it maintains its traditions and programming, although it does so somewhat later than the previous ones. Thus, the plantà of the monument in Calp is scheduled for today afternoon, Thursday, February 17, in the Plaza Mayor.
For this reason, the falleros preparations in the municipality are still underway. However, the forecasts for today's weather are not very favourable, on the coast, especially because of the wind. So we will have to wait until tonight to see if everything follows its normal course.
Pami
Without underestimating the work of Fallas artists, Pamis is the town with the most artisanal fallas. Their neighbors are those who, with their own means, build the monuments forming a united community before the festivities.
For this reason, from the fault in Pamis currently only its most primary structure can be seen. Due to the predicted rains and the materials less resistant to water, it is expected that the final touch of the fault, the recreation of the Clock Tower of Ondara, will be placed once the rainfall has passed.
The finished fallero monument will reach nine meters in height and could wait to burn until next April 2. In this way, this year the fault that has waited patiently in the warehouses for two years will be planted, since in 2020 the party had to be canceled due to the pandemic.
