The State Meteorological Agency announced yesterday the arrival of rain in the Marina Alta, activating a new yellow alert. A warning that also marks storms and an accumulated precipitation of 20 mm in one hour.
As for when it will rain, this alert remains active from 12:00 p.m. to 22:59 p.m. approximately, so the morning will be calmer. However, according to the Agency's predictions, it is possible that not the entire region will be affected by precipitation today.
The chances of rain increase in the towns located to the northwest of the region, with Castell de Castells, les Valls de la Marina Alta and l'Atzúbia being the ones that accumulate the most possibilities.
The hourly prediction of the AEMET indicates that the precipitation will decrease as it approaches the center of the region. Although, towns like Orba, Parcent, Sagra or Sanet i Negrals could still be affected but with less accumulated rain.
However, the possibilities of precipitation are disappearing in coastal municipalities such as Dénia, Xàbia, Teulada-Moraira or Calp, in which case it would arrive in a much weaker way.
After today's session, the rain could persist until Saturday night, now, affecting the coast of the Marina Alta. As for temperatures, they will remain between 27ºC in inland points and 29 or 30ºC on the coast.
