The General Meeting of the Consortium for the Economic and Activity Recovery of the Marina Alta (Creama) has unanimously approved the initial budget for 2025, which amounts to 1.391.853,66 euros. The session, held on November 18 in the plenary hall of the Xàbia City Hall, was attended by Carlos Mª Pastor Ventura, president of the consortium and deputy for Economic Development and European Projects, as well as Juan Luis Cardona Salvador, vice president of Creama and councilor of the Xàbia City Council.
The budget, which includes contributions from the associated municipalities - Benissa, Calp, Dénia, Gata de Gorgos, Pedreguer, Pego, Teulada-Moraira and Xàbia - and from the Alicante Provincial Council, will be complemented with resources from other entities such as Labora, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Ministry of Education. These additional funds will be used to develop training programmes, regional employment workshops and other projects aimed at the economic and social improvement of the Marina Alta.
During the meeting, Rosario Donderis Sala, manager of the consortium, presented the Annual Action Plan for 2025, aligned with the values of the Code of Ethics approved in 2021. This plan reinforces Creama's commitment to sustainability, governance and positive impact on the territory and people, reflecting three decades of public service.
The president of the consortium expressed his gratitude to the Xàbia City Council for its role as the capital of the consortium during 2024 and congratulated the Calp City Council, which will assume this responsibility in 2025. The meeting was attended by the mayors of Benissa, Teulada-Moraira, Calp and Gata de Gorgos, as well as councillors from the member municipalities and representatives of Labora, highlighting the joint involvement in the objectives of the consortium.
