Last Tuesday, the Michelin Guide held the awards ceremony for the coveted stars that each year recognise the work of the most select restaurants in the country. After this, the organisation renews all the distinctions and announces the outstanding new products, whether they have a star or not.
The Marina Alta continues to reap its fame as a temple of high-level cuisine. Although it has not received any new awards for 2025, one spark stands out among the list of restaurants that the Michelin Guide recommends on its website for the next season.
The new recommended establishment is located in Pedreguer. It is Ausiàs Restaurant, whose location “attracts attention both for its façade and for its carefully designed contemporary interior design,” according to the Guide. The couple formed by Ausiàs Signes and Felicia Guerra are in charge of the establishment.
This proposal offers “a well-modernised Mediterranean-based cuisine, always built around local and regional products”, offering two tasting menus called Valentina and Ausiàs March. But that's not all. The entity puts the spotlight on the restaurant's desserts, since chef Ausiàs Signes was proclaimed Pastry Chef Revelation at Madrid Fusión 2022.
