The Regional Agreement on occupation and local development of the Marina Alta (PACTE'MA) has received a grant from the Generalitat Valenciana of 12.248,14 euros for the promotion of a sustainable economy within its area of ​​action during 2022.

This aid is intended to make visible the actions in the area of ​​sustainable economy that are being developed within the framework of the Agreement for the Occupation of the Marina Alta and has been managed by Creama, which holds the technical secretariat of PACTE'MA.

The project presented by the Marina Alta to this line of aid included the following actions, which must be carried out before October 31 of this year: a training action aimed at SMEs, freelancers and key agents in the territory; a round table with the participation of agents from the territory, businessmen and citizens, where the social economy, social economy business models and their benefits and tools for their revitalization are discussed and debated; an informative action on non-financial information of the actions that are carried out; an audiovisual campaign on the role of SMEs in social responsibility; and the dissemination of instruments for the development and implementation of the SDGs in the region through a guide of indicators aimed at the business fabric of the Marina Alta for the implementation and application of actions aimed at achieving *SDGs 5, 8, 9 and 12 and their corresponding targets.

The granting of this aid has been discussed in the governing council of the Agreement for Occupation in the session that was held today at the Public Library of Dénia, a municipality that this year has the capital of Creama, and which was attended by the president of Creama, the provincial deputy Sebasitán Cañadas; the manager of the Consortium, Rosario Donderis; the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt; mayors of other towns in the region that are members of PACTE'MA; and representatives of Labora, unions and business associations.

Non-financial information on the actions carried out within the framework of PACTE'MA has also been offered to the attendees at the council, transferring the benefits of the Agreement for Employment in terms of Social Responsibility and a vision of the non-economic impact of the actions that develop in the region.

This impact brings political benefits such as the creation of alliances, participation and transparency; social benefits, such as the promotion of decent work, social inclusion or innovation; and also environmental benefits such as the promotion of local consumption, the encouragement of conscious and sustainable consumption or the commitment to a circular economy by supporting projects that promote recycling and reuse.

Employment forums in the county area

On the other hand, Labora is setting up the necessary mechanisms for collaboration between the Generalitat and the Territorial Pacts of the territory with a view to holding future occupation forums in the county area. The programming will reach from the last quarter of 2023 to 2025.

The purpose of these forums is to publicize the active employment policies developed by Labora, design training and orientation activities appropriate to the territorial reality and carry out actions that promote the encounter between job seekers and the Navy's employers. High.

The collaboration will be formalized through an agreement with Labora and the technical secretariat of the Occupation Agreement, in this case, Creama. The Governing Council has given its approval to all the items on the agenda.

Agreement for the occupation of the Marina Alta

The Regional Agreement on occupation and local development of the Marina Alta was established in 2017 and is currently made up of 32 municipalities and 13 public and private entities of the Marina Alta.

Framed within the PACTE'MA, our territory adheres to the Pla Avalem Territori of the Generalitat Valenciana, which focuses on the particular potential of each region and an adaptation of the occupation policies in the territory and in each productive sector.

PACTE'MA aims to obtain resources for the Marina Alta with which to develop active occupation policies based on the result of the agreement between public administrations, social agents and other actors that influence these policies.

With the completion of the Territorial Diagnosis of the Marina Alta (2017), promoted by the Regional Agreement, and through a participatory and democratic process, the results of this study were presented to the citizens and territorial agents and the priority strategic axes that you have to follow the Agreement.
