The Ondara Municipal Pilot School, coordinated by Juanma Garrido and trained by Raúl Blasco and Marc Terrades, has achieved very good results in the provincial finals of Raspall by JECV teams (Jocs Esportius de la Comunitat Valenciana), held last Saturday, February 15, at the "Abelardo Martínez" trinquet in Petrer (Alicante).
The Ondara Pilota School managed to qualify 3 teams that competed in the final A, for the provincial gold. The under-1s team, made up of Ernest Garcés, Lluís Avellà, Paulo Domènech, Guillem Frasés and Andreu Garrido; the cadet team, with Joan Garrido, Uxue Arbona and Alma Contrí; and the junior team, with Arnau Mas, Andreu Mullor and José Miguel Sastre. They obtained great results: they won the games and were first classified and provincial champions, the under-8s and junior teams; and in the case of the cadet team, it was second classified and provincial runner-up. The under-XNUMXs and junior teams, as provincial champions, will go on to compete in the regional final phase on XNUMX and XNUMX March (semi-finals and final).

Single Raspall
On the other hand, on Sunday 16th February the final phase of the individual women's raspall was held at the Rafelbunyol trinquet. The player from the Escola de Pilota de Ondara, Alma Contrí, after playing her qualifying phase and the final phase, managed to be proclaimed regional Champion in the children's category.
Also on Sunday, at the Orba trinquet, the individual men's provincial raspall tournament was played. Ondara's Benjamín Ernest Garcés and the Alevín Guiu Vizuete had qualified. After each playing their phase, they were the first in the provincial Benjamín and Alevín categories, and will play the individual regional raspall tournament on Sunday, February 23.
Ondara's Councillor for Sports, Jordi Ruiz, has congratulated the young pilotaris from the Escola Municipal de Pilota de Ondara and their coaches for the successes achieved this season in raspall, and has encouraged them for the upcoming competitions.
