The Marina Alta educational community, through the various instant messaging channels of each municipality and educational center, has begun to raise awareness about a fraudulent message purporting to come from the Valencian Regional Government's Department of Education, Universities, and Employment, demanding immediate payment of 850 euros in tuition fees.
The message, which is circulating via email, uses the official logo and graphic identity of the Generalitat Valenciana to give the appearance of authenticity. It also threatens the recipient with transferring their file to the "litigation department" if they do not make the payment by May 15, 2025. The alleged payment must be made by bank transfer, requesting the student's first name, last name, and season as references.
The entire educational community, especially families and students, is warned to ignore these types of communications, as they are an attempted scam that has no connection to official procedures. All official notifications are sent exclusively through institutional channels, such as the Generalitat's website or the Electronic Office, and bank details or payments are never requested via unverified emails or messages.
Those who have received this message are also advised not to make any payments, not to provide personal or banking information, and to notify the authorities or the appropriate educational institution.
