The water situation in the Marina Alta continues to be critical. The region needs rain, to heal its lands with a good saó, but still in emergency situation due to shortage. And, furthermore, in the next few hours, it will be plunged into the haze episode that will sweep the entire peninsula during those days.
The arrival of suspended dust will be favored by storm Olivia. This will move in a northeasterly direction, which will favor the southerly wind to reach Spain, with the consequent North African dust.
On Friday, the haze will begin to enter the south of the peninsula. The concentration of particles will be low then, but will increase as the hours pass. The curtain of dust will move from west to east of the country.
To the Mediterranean and, more specifically to the Marina Alta, the dust in suspension will arrive progressively from Sunday. It will be in the afternoon and during the morning of Monday when the haze will settle over the towns of the Marina Alta.
As for temperatures, as expected, they will accompany the episode of dust particles in the air. The worst will be experienced in the interior towns of the region, such as in Parcent, which may reach 26 °C on Saturday and 29 on Sunday.
On the coast, the highs will be milder on the first day, ranging between 21 and 23 degrees. On Sunday, the thermometer will also rise considerably on the coast and could reach 26 °C.
