The City Council of Gata de Gorgos has recently approved, initially and unanimously, the Municipal Territorial Plan for Emergencies. Currently, the risks that determine that the Municipal Territorial Plan against Emergencies is mandatory in the municipalities are floods, forest fires and seismic risk. Specifically, Gata de Gorgos is located in a territory at high risk of forest fires and at a low-medium level of seismic risk.

Thus, the PTM offers an action plan to the Municipal Coordination Center, CECOPAL, which is headed by the mayor, Josep Francesc Signes Costa, and coordinated by Vallés.
