These are the new delegations for the five members of the Ondara government team after the departure of Compromís

November 12 from 2024 - 13: 15

This morning, the three councillors of the municipal group Compromís por Ondara, Jordi Dominguis, Lluís Fornés and Àngels Grimalt, have officially presented at the Ondara Town Hall your resignation to their positions in the delegations of the government pact. The three have resigned from their delegations with immediate effect, thus breaking the government pact signed with the PSPV-PSOE in June 2023 to govern during the 2023-2027 legislature. In this way, the PSPV-PSOE will remain in a minority government, as confirmed by the mayor of Ondara, José Ramiro.

The mayor has deeply regretted the breach of the pact by his government partners and has assured that governability will continue to be guaranteed. To this end, a restructuring of the delegations of the government team will be carried out, which will go from 8 to 5 councillors with powers, redistributing the workload in essential areas with the aim of continuing to provide all services to citizens.

José Ramiro has expressed his willingness to continue promoting progressive policies, as in the last 9 years of the pact with Compromís, and has extended his hand to his (until now) partners, assuring that the doors will always be open to work for and with Ondara, with left-wing, progressive policies focused on the residents of Ondara, regardless of personalism and partisanship. The PSPV-PSOE government team has thanked the three Compromís councillors for their dedication in these 16 months of the governing pact and for the achievement of common objectives and projects.

The PSPV-PSOE governing team has announced the restructuring of the government areas to cover all the changes necessary after the resignation of the three Compromís councillors, with the aim of covering all the essential needs of the local government and ensuring that citizens continue to see an absolute dedication to their town. Thus, the delegations for the five members of the new governing team would be as follows:

  • José Ramiro, mayor, responsible for the delegations of Citizen Security, Local Police and Civil Protection; Legal Regime and Interior; Transparency; Urban Planning, Urban Mobility and Urban Heritage.
  • Raquel Mengual, first deputy mayor, will be in charge of the areas of Equality and Women, Social Care, Economic Promotion and Tourism; Training and Employment, and Foreign Residents.
  • Miguel Gomis, second deputy mayor, will be responsible for Festivals and Traditions, Participatory Democracy and Associations; Agriculture, Environment, Municipal District and Water Resources; Public Maintenance and Services, and Parks, Gardens and Natural Spaces.
  • Rosa Ana Mari, third deputy mayor, will hold the delegations of Culture, Language Policy and Heritage; Education; Agenda 2030 and European Funds.
  • jordi ruiz, fourth deputy mayor, will now be the new person in charge of Sports; Human Resources; Finance and Contracting; Children and Youth; Health; Seniors; and Animal Welfare.
