The hermitage of Sant Sebastià is currently private property, due to a series of purchases and inheritances between individuals that occurred between the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries. Located on the grounds of the old Islamic farmhouse of Benumeia, in Pego, it is in poor condition. The Sant Sebastià hermitage was built on a previous mosque in the first half of the XNUMXth century, in a Baroque style. On the façade, the colonial style similar to that of the hermitage of Sant Miquel.
In the XNUMXth century, the hermitage of Sant Sebastià was a refuge for criminals and also a place where people with contagious diseases passed quarantines.
