17 June 2022 - 09: 23

The Itinerant program, of the Valencian Anti-Despopulation Agenda, aims to cover the needs of the smaller municipalities of the Marina Alta with a route of self-employed professionals who offer their services at more competitive prices to the inhabitants who reside there.

The objective is that these self-employed provide the necessary basic services that residents have to look for in other larger towns, thus necessarily having to travel. Towns such as Benimeli, Vall de Laguar, Murla, Vall d'Alcalà, l'Atzúbia, Benigembla, Castell de Castells, Ràfol d'Almúnia, Sagra, Vall de Gallinera, Vall d'Ebo, Llosa de Camatxo, Alcalalí or Parcent, can be the beneficiaries of this program.

Itinerant Program

Itinerant brings self-employed professionals closer to smaller towns, so much so that it already works in 12 counties and reaches 150 municipalities in the Valencian Community.

Now the Valencian Antidespoblament Agenda, of the Generalitat Valenciana, AVANT and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, FVMP with the collaboration of the MACMA Mancomunitat Marina Alta want to put the Itinerant program into operation in this region, and are looking for self-employed professionals who want to train part of this.

The general director of the Valencian Antidespoblament Agenda, Jeannette Segarra, assures: “The Itinerant program is designed to bring these professionals closer to the inhabitants of the smaller municipalities of the Valencian Community. That they have the service in their homes and towns and do not have to move to another municipality. We want the inhabitants of these towns not to have to leave them to look for professionals and, on the other hand, we offer the professionals of the territory an opportunity to find stability and a way of earning a living in their own region”.

The program responds to the scarce services that AVANT municipalities have and those with less than 1500 inhabitants. Through this program, opportunities are generated for professionals and population is established.
