The forecast for rainfall on the northern coast of Alicante has been fulfilled since the sky began to become cloudy on Wednesday afternoon. At night, rain fell in some municipalities of the Marina Alta and warnings are in effect for today.
The State Meteorological Agency maintains the yellow warning for the region until 16:59 hours, due to accumulated precipitation in one hour of 20 mm, in the last advance of warnings issued at 16:20 hours. The warning is also given for accumulated precipitation in 12 hours of 80 mm. The precipitation may be persistent and very localized, as in the area of Pego, which in the last 6 hours exceeds 60 mm.
It was the Centre Coordinació Emergencies GVA which at 08:30 hours issued the orange alert for the northern coast of Alicante. At 15:30 the current alert was lowered to yellow level.

The accumulated rainfall in 24 hours of the Valencian Meteorological Association indicated that the towns that had recorded the most rain at 09:30 were Ràfol d'Almúnia (64,6 mm), l'Atzúbia (64,4), Pego (57,2) and Xàbia (51,4)
