The El Verger Town Council has inaugurated the first multi-sports court as part of the Punt Jove project. This court will allow young people to enjoy outdoor leisure activities in a safe and accessible environment. This new project is the result of collaboration with the company Colisée, with which a 20.000 euro agreement has been signed to strengthen the social fabric of El Verger.
“It has been a pleasure and an honour for Colisée to have collaborated on this beautiful project with the El Verger Town Council,” says Cristina Mota, director of the El Verger residence at Colisée.
On the other hand, the Punt Jove de El Verger was officially inaugurated last September as a space dedicated to leisure, study and sport for the town's young people.
The Punt Jove is a centre designed to offer alternatives for leisure, learning and sport to local youth. Already in operation, the space has a youth technician in charge of energising the activities.
The facilities include a study and workshop room, ideal for concentration and learning, and a recreation room equipped for entertainment and socializing, with table football, dartboard and ping-pong table.
«From the governing team we reaffirm our commitment to the youth of our town. The creation of the Punt Jove, together with the first track, are a clear sign that young people are a priority for us. We want them to have a place to grow, learn and enjoy, and we will continue working to improve these facilities with the renovation of the building planned for 2025. Our goal is to build a future full of opportunities for the youth of El Verger», says Alba Pérez Román, Youth Councillor of El Verger.
The Punt Jove is not only an innovative space in the present, but also looks to the future. Work is scheduled to begin in 2025 on the renovation of the building that houses the centre, a project that will allow the facilities to be expanded and improved to adapt them to the growing needs of young people.
