Valencia CF brings the “black and white” feeling closer to rural environments in Pedreguer

28 October 2022 - 15: 34

The Pedreguer City Council has not hesitated to give up its sports facilities so that the boys and girls from the interior of the Marina Alta can enjoy the unique project of the VCF Foundation 'Jo Sóc Valencianista Rural'.

The activity is the result of the work of the VCF Foundation, within the framework of one of its main programs, Escoles Cor Blanquinegre, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, within the call for unique projects.

According to sources from the foundation, 'Jo Sóc Valencianista Rural' is supposed to bring the Club and the black and white feeling closer to the roots of the Valencian Community, to rural environments, to towns with few inhabitants where the students have the opportunity to enjoy a day with professional trainers, with more than 1.000 participants in 17 training days (13 held to date).

On the other hand, gestures such as those of the Pedreguer City Council are essential to get the initiative off the ground, due to the lack of adequate sports infrastructure in these municipalities, and, as stated by the Councilor for Sports of Pedreguer, José Vicente Cabrera Puigcerver, and the mayor , Sergi Ferrús Peris, "is a fantastic way to structure the region and bring activities closer to people who otherwise would not be able to enjoy them".

Thus, on Friday, October 14, it was the turn of the CEIP Penya Blanca de Benigembla, the CEIP Cavall Verd de la Vall de Laguar-Flex and the CEIP Sant Lluís Beltrán de Tormos. A total of 48 students participated in the day with the coaches Emilio Fortis and Paco Ramón in the Pedreguer municipal field. They were accompanied by Sergi Ferrús, José Vicente Cabrera, Adriana Ferrer, director of CEIP Penya Blanca, Àngel Lozano, professor at CEIP Sant Lluís Beltrán, and Gemma Barberà, professor at CEIP Cavall Verd.

And on Friday the 21st it was the turn of CEIP Castell del Pop de Murla and CEIP El Carrascar de Parcent. With Emilio Fenoll and Paco Ramón and 58 primary school students, the director of CEIP El Carrascar, Miquel Font, Javi Roselló, professor at CEIP Castell del Pop, and Àlex Gayà, brother of José Luis Gayà, attended.
