This Sunday, June 4, Ondara will host the final phase of the XLI Jocs Esportius Autonomous Region (JECV) of the Valencian Community of raspall by teams from 2022-23. The appointment will be in the Ondara Municipal Ratchet, as detailed today by the Councilor for Sports of Ondara, Mar Chesa, and the president of the Valencian Pilota Federation, Vicent Molines. Both have presented the event accompanied by the coordinator of the Municipal School of Pilota de Ondara, Juanma Garrido.
The Ondara City Council has signed a collaboration agreement with the Valencian Pilota Federation so that Ondara is the venue for this important regional sporting event of the JECV. Chesa has stated: "It is a pride and an honor that Ondara is the venue for this important sporting event of our native sport." The councilor has reiterated the support of the Ondarenc City Council "to continue promoting and strengthening the Valencian pilota".
The Ondara City Council, as a collaborator of the regional finals, will make a financial contribution and make the Ondara Municipal Ratchet facilities available to the Federation of Pilota Valenciana on the indicated date in perfect condition.
The Ondara Municipal Pilot School, coordinated by Juanma Garrido and trained by Arnau Oliver and Raül Blasco, will be one of the participating schools this Sunday. Specifically, Ondara will participate in 4 categories (youngest, children, cadet and youth) in the final B for the third regional position:
- Benjamin with the team made up of Guiu Vizuete, Vicent Molines and Andreu Frasés
- Children with Joan Garrido, Uxue Arbona and Iker Costa
- Cadet with Arnau Mas, Andreu Mullor and José Miguel Sastre
- Youth with Àlex Serra, Gorka Arbona, Mateu Guitart and Alex Terrades
The 4 teams achieved the provincial runners-up in their respective categories and will play the regional final phase of raspall for third regional place.
