The Benissa Film Office, which depends on the municipality's Tourist Office, has had intense work in recent months. The entity, in charge of managing the use of Benissa as a setting for advertisements, video clips, television programs or short films, has received numerous requests that have taken the town to another level of notoriety.
Among the latest recordings that have been made in the town, the latest song by the rapper Nach Scratch stands out, Volume 4 of his project Raw. The artist used the Hermitage of Santa Ana in Benissa as the setting for the song.
But, with the Benissa Film Office, the town is already part of the audiovisual circle used by many other companies to record works. The vehicle brand from the Czech Republic, SKODA, has requested, through its advertising agenda, to use a public space in Benissa to shoot a spot in the coming months.
Other firms such as El Corte Inglés or Yamaha, local and regional artists or television programs from the À Punt chain have done it before. There have been many agencies that have approached the Department of Tourism to ask about the Benissa Film Office. So much so that last year American and British producers moved to the municipality with the aim of "hunting" for the ideal location to shoot some of their most Mediterranean sequences.
The person in charge of the council, Jorge Ivars, has said that “for years we have had an attractive Film Office catalog that we are updating and renewing. This promotional axis is very important for us since it opens a window to audiences that we would not otherwise be able to reach”.
