The Plaza del Consell de Dénia It was yesterday afternoon the meeting point of the socialist candidates for mayor in the Marina Alta. Ximo Puig, president of the Generalitat and general secretary of the PSPV-PSOE, attended the event framed in the tour "In all the regions" where he announced that the works to connect Dénia-Gandia will begin in the next legislature. In addition, he highlighted that they have advanced together on fundamental issues for the region, such as mobility, allowing the arrival of the L9 again to the regional capital or the liberalization of the AP7. "What we want is good communication between regions, sustainable mobility that we will also achieve through formulas such as the TRAM," he insisted.

In the meeting, moderated by the first deputy mayor of Dénia, Maria Josep Ripoll, various PSPV-PSOE candidates participated such as Vicent Grimalt (Dénia), José Chulvi (Xàbia), Juanjo Mas (Beniarbeig), Marina Renner (Benissa), Maite Pérez (La Xara) or Juan Chover (El Verger), among others.

Puig pointed out that the next legislature "we will already have deprivatized healthcare, managing to reverse an entire privatization process that the PP started, which will mean more investments, more doctors and more capacity for the citizens of the Navy to have the public healthcare that they deserve».

Regarding the tourist potential of the region, the socialist candidate made reference to stimulus policies such as the Travel Bonus, from which more than 250.000 people have already benefited and "which we are going to maintain over time in the next legislature because it has proven to be an effective way to reactivate tourism and learn more about our own community.” In addition, he indicated that "it is necessary to continue consolidating the cooperation and co-governance between the sector and the institutions that have led us to leadership and to obtain record numbers over these years" and has highlighted the fact that "we have been able to accompany the sector and destinations throughout Europe to attract quality tourism that we must now consolidate.

On the other hand, he referred to the birth rate as an issue "that we must attend to, because right now Valencian society has an average of 1,2 children." For this reason, he pointed out that "everyone should have the freedom to carry out their life project and it is not possible that those couples who want to, cannot have children for economic reasons", and recalled that "in the next legislature, couples with two children will be considered large families, an initiative that may also be joined by city councils that so decide.

Puig wanted to remark: «We have always believed that, in order to achieve a progress project in the Valencian Community, the territory had to be taken into account from the town halls. For this reason, we have made changes and advances in issues such as education or employment through this alliance. In this sense, he referred to issues such as the creation of 430.000 jobs, the disappearance of barracks in educational centers, free textbooks or the implementation of free education from two years .

For all this, he stressed that "we have a project for everyone, a project of dignity, of the people and for the people" and assured that "the project of the right is anti-Sanchismo, they are against issues such as labor reform or the rise in pensions. Finally, he affirmed: "The right does not have a project for the Valencian Community or for anyone, the only thing they want is power for power's sake."
