The PSPV of Calp has issued a letter in which it accuses the mayor, Ana Sala, of "spreading statements in the media that denote a profound ignorance of the functioning of his municipality." The socialist formation indicates that the first mayor of Calp has wanted to divert attention from the shortcomings of his own management, attacking the Department.
According to the Socialists, the mayor has accused, "gratuitously" the Department of not investing in the port of Calp and also does not manage the solid waste of the site well. To which the formation of the left indicates that none of the accusations correspond to reality, "which denotes a worrying lack of information, both about the investments that flow to Calp and the ordinary management of the municipality."
The party of the rose state that the Ministry of Territory has invested more than 2 million euros since the arrival of the PSPV PSOE to the Generalitat Valenciana under the Presidency of Ximo Puig, the main actions being aimed at reinforcing the dike and contradique of the Poniente dock (after the dry dock) and thus avoid the erosion of maritime storms. "Likewise, since 2015, constant investments have been made to modernize public lighting, sanitation of the drinking water network, asphalt and mooring elements for boats," they indicate from the PSPV-PSOE Calp.
Regarding the statements to which the Socialists refer about the garbage collection service, they point out that "it should be remembered that it is provided for the entire port area, by the concession company ACCIONA, and that it is the City Council itself who collects from each of the commercial premises and homes in the port area the appropriate semiannual receipt issued by SUMA. Obviously, the necessary infrastructures, such as container islands etc ... are the responsibility of the concessionaire. "
From the PSPV they say that "the statements show once again their lack of knowledge of the facts in the different matters that are the competence of our City Council. It is not clear to us if their increasingly frequent and unfortunate statements are made due to the ignorance of the matter or due to the inability to manage them properly. Ana Sala has imposed, in just two years, a strange personal style of government in which she continually tries to hold other Administrations responsible even knowing that the responsibility lies entirely with the City Council that she herself manages. "
Calp's PSPV statement remarks that "not a week ago that the PSOE asked for the resignation of Ana Sala. The reason: the mayor spent in less than 24 hours blaming the deplorable waste management services this summer, first on the citizens of Calp and later on the opposition. Now it is the turn of the Conselleria. With each plot twist the inability of management that we pointed out in its day is reaffirmed, at the same time that the little credibility that remains to the government team is diminished. "
