Pego will kick off the month of May with a classical music concert featuring local pianist Vicent Sendra Vilanova. The event will take place next Sunday, May 4th, at 19:30 p.m. in the Carmen Alemany Bay Library, where you can enjoy some of the most iconic pieces from the classical repertoire.
The recital will include works by renowned composers such as Beethoven, Liszt, Colomer, Debussy, and Falla, performed by Sendra on piano. "It will be a high-quality concert, as both the selected works and the artist performing them are of the highest caliber," emphasized Councilor for Culture, Josep Mengual.
Vicent Sendra Vilanova, born in Pego, is considered a piano virtuoso. He began his musical training at a very young age and studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, under the tutelage of renowned musician and professor Diego Cayuelas. He later continued his studies in Budapest and has participated in numerous master classes and competitions, both national and international. In 2015, he was awarded the "Professional Piano" award.
Mengual wanted to highlight the importance of this musical event: "It's a good opportunity to hear pieces of great value that are part of the history of music. It's also a perfect opportunity to witness a concert that we don't usually get to see in Pego, and it will be performed by a great artist from Pego who has a profound respect for classical music."
