This morning, the mayor of Benissa, Arturo Poquet, the president of the Trade Union, Juan Motilla, and the organization's vice president, Vanessa Cárdenas, have signed a collaboration agreement to execute the consumption voucher program in the municipality. The initiative will be carried out through a subsidy received by the Diputación de Alicante amounting to 76.381 euros, to which must be added the 15.000 euros of management costs that will be assumed directly by the city council itself, raising the entire initiative to an amount greater than 90.000 euros.

With this agreement, an economic impact is expected in the municipality of Benissa that exceeds 150.000 euros, since, in order to benefit from the €100 bonus, the neighbors who want to participate in the commercial action will have to transfer exactly half, which which implies that your budget will be doubled for making purchases in the Benissa establishments participating in the campaign.

As declared by the highest municipal official: "This is an initiative that has been working on for months and that will finally be launched in September in a very operational modality with the money cards, facilitating the task both for the citizens as well as businesses adhering to the campaign”. Likewise, Poquet has made reference to the work carried out by his entire team in recent years to help the economic fabric of Benissa, "especially in the most difficult moments of the pandemic", he has said. To conclude his intervention, he wanted to reiterate his enormous commitment, stating that "we are going to continue defending local commerce and the local economy".

For her part, the delegate councilor for AFIC-Creama Commerce, Isabel Bou, has acknowledged feeling very satisfied with the signing of an agreement that, according to her, "will serve to strengthen the commerce of our people at a time as complex as the that we are living”.

In the next few days, AFIC-CREAMA and Unió Gremial will inform both the establishments interested in participating and the citizens who want to obtain their gift card.
