Last Saturday, the Teatre Auditori of the Social Centre of Dénia became the epicenter of young talent with the highly anticipated debut of the Jove Ballet de la Marina (JBM). This marked the start of the first regional tour of this amateur company, founded in April 2024, with the firm goal of offering performing opportunities to young dancers from all over the province of Alicante.
Under the artistic direction of Laura and Maeva Perelló, the evening featured a diverse and moving program, alternating classical, neoclassical, and contemporary ballet pieces. Each performance was greeted with applause from the audience.
The creation of the JBM, promoted by the Marina Youth Ballet Association, represents a decisive commitment to promoting culture and developing talent in the Marina Alta. Supported by numerous dance schools and conservatories in the province, the project not only provides quality training but also accessibility and cohesion within the local artistic community.
The tour, which will visit several towns in the region over the coming months, is also an open invitation to the public to discover the effort and passion of a generation that promises to give dance a new lease on life in the region.
