The region begins a long weekend with the December bank holiday and does so with stable weather and pleasant daytime temperatures. On Friday and Saturday, maximum temperatures will remain between 22 and 23 °C, reaching 24 °C in some coastal towns. On Sunday they will drop to 15 °C inland and 18 °C on the regional coast.
As for minimum temperatures, the Marina Alta has already seen some days of cooler nights, between 10 and 12 °C, which will last until Saturday. It will be on Sunday when the drop will begin to be more noticeable also in the night and early morning minimum temperatures, reaching 7 °C in towns such as Parcent or 9 °C in Dénia.
Between Saturday and Sunday, the State Meteorological Agency warns of the arrival of the first winter storm that will bring snow, rain, wind and strong waves. In the Marina Alta this will be felt with the drop in maximum temperatures that on Monday will be between 13 and 16 degrees. This significant drop will probably extend throughout the next week, making way for more wintry weather.
