The evolution of the coronavirus pandemic continues to subside day after day. The new data update by the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the accumulated incidence, although there has been a rise in new cases compared to the previous report, three days ago.
According to Public Health, the Marina Alta registers 212 new positive cases, which brings the total number of COVID infections to 40.023 since the pandemic began in 2020. Of the total number of infections, the Health Department of Dénia It now has 667 active cases, 48 less than three days ago.
Despite the slight increase in new cases, new bad news is reflected in the new update. Calp has added a new death, so there are already 48 people who have died in this population due to the coronavirus, and 248 in the entire region.
By municipalities, Dénia has been the town that has registered the most cases in this new report, adding a total of 85 new cases. For this reason, its accumulated incidence has also increased with respect to the previous day by just over 58 points. Currently, the incidence of Dénia is 471 cases per 100.000 inhabitants compared to the 417 it had last Tuesday.
The rest of the towns in the region that have added new cases have been: Calp 30 (increases almost double in three days), Xàbia 28 (has also suffered a slight increase since the last update), Pego adds 17, Teulada 9, Pedreguer 9, Ondara 9, El Verger 8, Benissa 6, Gata de Gorgos 5, Orba 2, Els Poblets, la Vall de Gallinera, Vall de Laguar and Xaló add 1 case each.
