On Sunday 6 October, the Gimnasia Les Marines Club travelled to Quart de Poblet to compete in the provincial phase of the Spanish Youth Championship. The five Calpine teams managed to be among the top twenty and therefore qualify for the regional championship. The under-XNUMX and junior teams stood out as provincial champions.
The children's team made up of Sophie, Paulina, Sofia, Julia, Mandana and Anastasia were in charge of opening the competition for Les Marines. The children's team performed their impressive five-ball exercise with which, despite some mistakes, they managed to come fifth in the province and be among the top twenty in the community. This gave them access to the regional competition.
Next up was the turn of the two pre-benjamin teams. Both made a good pass that allowed the team formed by Isabella, Ainara, Eva, Sara and Ania to finish fourth in the province. Meanwhile, the team formed by Valentina, Rebecca, Lamar, Lucia and Emma were fifth.
The afternoon session was opened by the juniors Tatiana, Lucia, Ruth, Naiara, Valery and Luci. They performed a spectacular exercise with three hoops and two balls, earning a standing ovation from the entire crowd. This earned them a place on the top step of the podium as provincial champions in a very competitive category.
To finish the competition, the Les Marines juniors came out onto the mat under the watchful eyes of all those present. Daniela, Vera, Polina, Vasilisa and Alessia knew how to calm their nerves and performed a perfect exercise for which they were proclaimed provincial champions. And they secured their passage to the regional championship.
With these good results, Les Marines has managed to qualify five teams for the regional youth league for the first time in its history. The club is very happy with the results obtained and hopes to get all of them to the national league.
