The Department of Culture and the Promotion of the Old Town, in collaboration with the Major Board of Brotherhoods and Easter Brotherhoods, is launching the "A la llum dels ciris" initiative. This initiative will involve lighting up the Plaza de la Villa and adjacent streets in the center of the Old Town with candles only next Saturday, March 22nd.
Concerts
The goal is to create an intimate atmosphere within the Holy Week events, serving as the setting for a traveling concert by the Calp Ifach Musical Union and a concert by the Calp Rondalla, scheduled for 20:00 p.m. at the entrance to the Virgen de las Nieves Parish Church.
This initiative complements and enriches Calpe's Holy Week, offering a special evening in which residents can enjoy Calpe's historic center from a new and intimate perspective.
The Councilor for Culture and the Old Town, Guillermo Sendra, is calling on residents and businesses in the area to participate in this event and decorate their facades and balconies with candles or torches that evening, thus contributing to this municipal initiative.
