Last weekend the region experienced an episode of extreme heat quite unusual for the month of May. The pleasant temperatures this week only gave a brief respite, since this coming weekend, high temperatures are expected again in most municipalities.
According to the predictions of the State Meteorological Agency, on Saturday 19 towns in the Marina Alta will exceed 30ºC. Something that will continue throughout the weekend and could extend until the beginning of the following week. These municipalities will be: Pego, Ondara, El Verger, Els Poblets, Orba, Beniarbeig, Alcalalí, Benidoleig, Parcent, Sanet i Negrals, Ràfol d'Almúnia, l'Atzúbia, Vall de Gallinera, Benigembla, Murla, Benimeli, Sagra, Tormos and Vall d'Ebo.
In the rest of the municipalities, temperatures will range between 26ºC, with Calp being the coolest town, and 29º. During the night the region will not yet reach 20ºC, but it could touch them in Els Poblets and Calp, with a minimum of 18ºC.
