The Consumption Bonus continues to be one of the most successful initiatives among Valencians, allowing thousands of annual getaways within the Community. With the first data from the new edition, we now know that the Marina Alta is once again among the favorite destinations, since two of its municipalities appear on the list of destinations most in demand by users of the voucher
Turisme Comunitat Valenciana has registered during the first month of the 2024 Travel Bonus program a total of 5.336 reservations to travel in the first half of the year, which corresponds to the first period of the program, that is, from January 16 to June 3, excluding the Week Santa.
In this edition, the average amount per reservation amounts to 605,78 euros, which has made it possible to mobilize only during the first month of the year, a total of 3.232.447 euros in the tourism sector of the Valencian Community for trips concentrated in season low. The forecast is to mobilize more than 25 million euros in the sector throughout 2024.
For the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes, «this rate of reservations, very similar to that of the previous edition, strengthens, once again, the Travel Bonus as a measure to deseasonalize and promote tourist employment in the Valencian Community.
Along these lines, Montes explained that the Travel Bonus has an expansive effect on other areas of the economy, "such as commerce or transportation, so its indirect effect goes far beyond tourism." And he affirms that "your profit could be multiplied by three or four."
According to the head of Turisme, "about 2024 users have already registered in the 53.000 program and we have distributed 15.000 vouchers, a figure that increases every week with new shipments."
Nuria Montes has highlighted "the good reception of this edition", and has reiterated that "the rate of requests this year is very high, going from the more than 120.000 appointment requests that were registered during the first hours of the start of the program, to the current 205.892 applications.
To access this aid from the Generalitat, applicants must be of legal age and be registered in the Valencian Community. Registration for the 2024 Travel Bonus, which began on January 2, will remain valid until November 30, 2024.
It should be remembered that applicants for the 2024 Travel Bonus program must choose a stay with a minimum of three consecutive nights, opting for a 50% discount on the amount of the reservation made, up to a limit of 350 euros.
