The Civil Guard has arrested the perpetrator of a burglary that occurred at the Oliva City Hall depot. He scaled the perimeter fence and managed to steal several vehicle parts inside.
During the early hours of March 30th, a burglary occurred at the municipal depot in the town of Oliva. Two people gained access by scaling the perimeter fence. Once inside, they stole various parts from the vehicles stored there, including tires and rims, spokes, and tools.
Once the Oliva-Gandía Main Police Station became aware of the incident, an investigation began in close collaboration with the Oliva Local Police. Security cameras at the municipal facilities were viewed. These cameras provided the necessary information to identify the vehicle used in the robbery.
With this information, the Civil Guard located the car in the town of Els Poblets. Surveillance conducted in the vicinity of the home led to the sighting of several stolen objects. These surveillance efforts also aimed to identify the vehicle's owner.
Finally, at the beginning of April, a 41-year-old Spanish man was arrested in Els Poblets for theft by burglary. During the arrest, some of the stolen items were recovered and identified by Oliva Local Police officers: a tire, two spokes, and various tools.
Investigations continue to identify and arrest the second person involved in the robbery.
The proceedings were delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Dénia.
