As of today, the measure taken by the Government to apply a discount of 20 cents per liter on fuel, not only to carriers, but to all drivers, comes into force. Many service stations warned in recent days that the discount would not be easy to assume, since the medium and small companies in the sector are suffering from an alarming lack of liquidity.
With the mentioned discount, the State assumes 15 cents of the reduction, while the remaining 5 depend on the oil companies. However, different media outlets have stated that, in order to assume this cost, some service stations were inflating prices during these last days so as not to be affected today.
Depending on the service station, the discount is indicated on the dispenser itself and, in others, only on the purchase receipt. But, the reality is that many of them continue to affirm that the reduction is difficult to assume without having previously entered the state money.
Bonus fuels
As stated in the Official State Gazette, the petroleum products whose acquisition gives the right to the bonus are:
- Gasoline (G95E5, G95E10, G95E5+, G98E5 and G98E10).
- Usual automotive diesel or "diesel A" (GOA) and automotive diesel
- with improved characteristics or «diesel oil A+» (GOA+).
- Diesel B (GOB).
- Diesel for marine use (MGO).
- LPG (liquefied petroleum gas for vehicle propulsion).
- CNG (liquefied compressed natural gas for vehicle propulsion).
- LNG (liquefied natural gas for vehicle propulsion).
- Bioethanol.
- Biodiesel.
- Mixtures of gasoline with bioethanol or diesel with biodiesel that require specific labelling.
