The Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities, and Employment has published the admissions and enrollment calendar for the 2025-2026 academic year for preschool, primary, secondary, high school, and special education centers in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana (Official Gazette).
Advance in the ordinary phase
One of the main new features is the earlier application process, especially for preschool and primary education, where the process will begin almost a month earlier than in 2024. The key dates are:
- Preschool and Primary: Applications due May 6-14. Provisional lists due June 4 and final lists due June 18. Online registration from June 18-27 and in-person registration from June 18-July 2.
- Secondary Education (ESO): Applications due May 15-23. Provisional lists on July 7, final lists on July 16. Online registration from July 16-21 and in-person registration from July 16-22.
- Baccalaureate: Applications due May 15-23. Provisional lists on July 14, final lists on July 22. Online registration from July 22-25 and in-person registration from July 22-28.
- Special Education and Specific Units in Regular Centers: Applications from May 6 to 14.
Online procedures
Applications must be submitted exclusively electronically at adminova.gva.es, except in specific cases of Special Education and Specific Units.
Extraordinary phase and confirmation of place
According to the Ministry of Education, in addition to the single district, specific circumstances, and the rest of the grading criteria from last year, this year's new feature is the online confirmation of a place at the assigned school and the extraordinary phase, which takes place in July.
The objective of the extraordinary phase is to meet a portion of the demand for places, which was often previously held back until early September. Students who, having participated in the ordinary phase of the admissions process, were unable to obtain a school place at any of the schools they applied for and who do not have a school place in their municipality or established school district, can participate in this phase.
Likewise, students who need to obtain a school place unexpectedly in the locality and who were unable to submit an application during the regular phase may participate in this phase.
The process for confirming a place at affiliated schools will be online and will take place between March 20 and 27. Families who need to confirm their place to continue their studies at the affiliated school without participating in the admissions process have received an email with basic information about this process and the link to participate.
