The fire that started last Saturday morning in the Vall d'Ebo is still out of control and adding hectares of burned land. This morning the authorities announced the closure of the CV-712 that gives access to the Vall d'Ebo from Pego.
The climb up the Castell d'Ambra has been restricted as the flames have spread to both sides of the road. Right now what is most worrying in Ebo is the thick area of vegetation in Sant Joan. In Pego, the helicopters have set their sights on cooling the Coma and Calvari area.
Last minute in the Vall de Gallinera
09: 45 h - The Vall de Gallinera Town Hall officially announces the closure of the road in the direction of Pego and Planes. The road that leads to l'Orxa and Vilallonga is still passable at the moment. However, from the Consistory they ask the neighborhood of Benissili and Alpatró to only use it under justified circumstances.
"We need free roads," they say. For this reason, please do not try to access the Vall in order to leave free access to the emergency services and official vehicles of the City Council.
The last hour in Gallinera is that several fires are still active, so the fire in the area is not controlled. At the moment, the houses in the urban centers are out of danger, although the evicted neighborhood will not be able to return to their homes until further notice.
