This will be the second consecutive year in which the Punt Náutic de Creama project carries out the job orientation campaign “The maritime sector in the Marina Alta: an opportunity for the future”. The initiative aims to bring the benefits of the maritime sector in all its aspects and their job profiles with greater demand closer to the youngest of the region.
The job orientation campaign, which responds to the demand of the territorial agents themselves, will have the participation of 15 of the 16 secondary schools in the Marina Alta, distributed among IES and concerted centers in the region.
This line of action, started last school year, intends to consolidate itself by offering annual talks, through which the students of the region with ages close to the labor incorporation can learn about the different maritime aspects, inherent sectors and the great occupational potential that they represent in our territory. Specifically, this year it is expected to hold some 40 talks during the months of January and February, through which more than 1000 students will pass.
Thus, the talks are organized covering two clearly differentiated areas. On the one hand, the Punt Nàutic technical team focuses part of the conference on recreational sailing, which deals with content such as nautical leisure and its sports aspect, the repair and maintenance of boats, hospitality and tourism or the main necessary qualifications to navigate or work on board in our territory.
On the other hand, with the aim of promoting generational renewal in the fishing sector, the importance of the fishing fleet in the Marina Alta, the different fishing gear, as well as the necessary requirements to embark as a sailor in professional fishing are highlighted. Likewise, the importance of nautical infrastructures and entities that operate in our territory is highlighted, making this information available to students.
