Ondara City Council will begin this week the works to improve and remodel all the spaces of the Ondara Municipal Library, located on the second floor of the Casa de Cultura. This was announced by the Councillor for Culture, Rosa Ana Marí.
As part of these works, the Municipal Library will be temporarily closed from next Friday, February 14, for several weeks. The renovations will include the creation and fitting out of a new Children's Library, thus improving access and services for the youngest children. The new Children's and Youth section will be located in the current Study Room, while the latter function will be moved to the Library, creating two separate spaces: one for adults and another for children and young people.
While the works are in progress, the Study Room will be temporarily moved to a classroom on the ground floor of the Casa de Cultura, ensuring that students can continue to use it. In addition, the reading animation activities scheduled for the coming weeks will continue to be offered in the Auditorium of the Casa de Cultura in Ondara.
The renovation works will be financed entirely with municipal funds, which reaffirms the City Council's commitment to improving the cultural and educational infrastructure of the municipality.
The Ondara Municipal Library will inform users of the reopening date of the facilities once the works are completed.
