The old town of Pego is medieval, preserving the remains of the creation of the Christian town from the end of the XNUMXth century. The streets are narrow and were surrounded by walls, of which there are remains attached to current buildings: for example, in the courtyard of the House of Culture, on the corner of Sant Lluís and Mestre Blasco streets, or in the “Muralla” toy store. You can also see one of the old gates of the wall, the Room Portal, the only one left standing.
In the old town of Pego there is also the Church of the Assumption, from the end of the XNUMXth century, the Ecce Homo Chapel, from the XNUMXth century, which is located on the old Hospital for the Poor and Saint Michael and Sant Josep.
