CEDMA urges the Administration to unblock the problems in the appointment platform for NIE

22 2024 April - 10: 37

The Cercle Empresarial de la Marina Alta (CEDMA) has issued an urgent statement addressed to the competent authorities to resolve the persistent blockage on the telematic appointment platform, specifically for obtaining the Foreigner Identification Number (NIE) and other relevant documents. . "This problem affects both the social and economic integration of foreigners and their fundamental rights," they say.

Access to an appointment on the telematics platform is an essential requirement for multiple legal and daily procedures, such as opening bank accounts, renting or purchasing properties and vehicles, as well as the schooling of minors, among others. However, according to CEDMA, the system is intervened by computer robots that hoard available appointments and then resell them, which is a questionable practice and harmful to legitimate users.

In a recent meeting between members of the CEDMA Board of Directors and the subdelegate of the Government in Alicante, Juan Antonio Nieves, it was confirmed that the authorities are fully aware of this problem. Although awareness of the situation is acknowledged, to date no concrete measures have been implemented to address and resolve this issue, aggravating the current situation.

Given this scenario, the Marina Alta Business Cercle has made an official request to the General Secretariat of Digital Administration of the Ministry for Digital Transformation, urging the adoption of specific measures:

  • Review and adapt the telematic appointment platform to avoid access by computer robots.
  • Block the possibility of requesting appointments in several offices simultaneously in the name of the same applicant.
  • Allow modification of the date and time of an appointment, but not of the applicant (first and last name).
  • Record the applicant's details until the appointment is obtained, to avoid the need to fill them in repeatedly.
  • Extend public service hours and take advantage of canceled appointments to assign them on the same day, without the need for a new prior appointment.
  • Request the General Directorate of Traffic to accept NIE certificates issued in the past, to avoid the need to request a duplicate that unnecessarily congests the computer and customer service system.

These measures, according to CEDMA, are essential to guarantee equitable and efficient access to public services and the integration of foreign residents in the region. Furthermore, these requests have been transferred to the General Directorate of Traffic and the Generalitat Valenciana for their consideration and immediate action.

The problem is also when the NIE expires and you can no longer do certain procedures at the post office among other services, nor at the town hall, you cannot open a bank account among other things, but when it comes to paying the bastards do accept it! fucking shame!

  2. Luis says:

If an individual wants to make an appointment, the System does not allow it, but if they pay a manager to do it, the manager gets it without problems.
