Alicante Chamber: «The province is suffering a contempt in investments from the Central Government»

20 October 2022 - 19: 06

Cámara Alicante calls on the society of the Marina Alta to join the manifesto "Alicante Deserves More" written together with the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV) and the Institute of Economic Studies of the Province of Alicante (INECA). The objective is to urge the Central Government to increase the financing of the province in the General State Budgets for 2023.

The organization maintains that, within the Valencian Community, Alicante has suffered for a year “a striking contempt for investments by the Central Government. We are the fifth province in contributions to the State and for the second consecutive year the last in terms of investments within the General State Budgets for 2023 ».

«In 50 years studies of all kinds have been achieved and no section of track»

One of the examples provided by the Alicante Chamber is the broad gauge railway connection, «which in 2023 will be 50 years since it was promised for the first time. Half a century in which the most that has been achieved have been studies of all kinds but not a single section of road, despite all the social, business and political demands, "they denounce.

For this reason, through the Alicante Chamber delegate in Dénia, Benito Mestre, the society of the region is urged to join the demand through the following link.

«Alicante suffers a cut of 12,3% with respect to the latest budgets»

The manifesto shows that the planned investment in the province per inhabitant is 85,48 euros, "very far from the state average of 283,72 euros", points out the Chamber of Alicante and adds that "despite being budgets expansive, the province suffers a cut of 12,3% with respect to the latest budgets».

In this way, the Dianense delegate maintains: «We need investments in infrastructure to be able to diversify our economy and that all of us who live and work here have more opportunities and better means in all areas: education, health, transport, social care».

Whatever they want, but on top of that they spend it on parties and giving grants to a thousand and one different associations that don't contribute anything to society themselves. Money escapes everyone knows it and many live precisely from that.
