Calp demands from Sanitat the pending infrastructure after the non-compliance of Marina Salud

May 14 from 2024 - 15: 56

The Calp government team (Somos Calpe, PSOE and Compromís) has presented to the May ordinary plenary session that will take place this afternoon a motion in order to request the Ministry of Health to take charge of the health infrastructure plan that Marina Salud did not execute. Among these infrastructures is the expansion of the Calp health center and its conversion to an integrated health center.

As stated in the sixth clause of the contract between Marina Salud and the department, the company had to carry out the construction of an Integrated Health Center in Dénia, a Health Center also in Dénia and an Integrated Health Center in Calp, commitments that after 18 years of contract validity did not materialize. "All of this constitutes a serious breach of the signed management contract and of the specifications and the rest of the regulations that made up the tender and to which the commercial concessionaire was firmly bound," the motion states.

It is emphasized that these infrastructures after 18 years are even more necessary taking into account the demographic increase in the health area, the increase in visits derived from tourist activity and the absence of complementary or alternative infrastructures that replace those provided for in the plan. .

The proposal criticizes the Conselleria for not having taken any measure against Marina Salud "also failing to comply with its obligations as a contracting body and signatory of the management contract" and that the Conselleria itself has not included these infrastructures in its investment plan. in health infrastructures since it is now the Generalitat that has the competence to undertake these works.

For this reason, it will now urge the Ministry of Health to take over these infrastructures, giving them "absolute priority taking into account that they have been delayed for almost 20 years." Likewise, the Corts Valencianes will be requested to make the appropriate credit modifications so that these centers can be executed and this agreement will be transferred to the Ministry of Health, the Presidency, the political groups of Les Corts and the regional deputy. Calpina Noelia Císcar "as a person directly affected by these deficiencies."
