The Consell, meeting in plenary session, has approved the decree approving the regulatory bases and the procedure for direct granting of the aid of the Valencian Community Travel Voucher Program 2023 to encourage the demand for internal tourist services in seasonal periods, and to which a total of 15 million euros will be allocated, the same amount assigned to the 2022 Program.
The Travel Bonus consists of incentives for people residing in the Valencian Community to travel within the community itself outside of high season. Specifically, for the periods comprised, on the one hand, from January 16 to May 31, 2023 and, on the other, from September 18 to December 22, 2023.
One of the objectives pursued by this new edition of the Voucher Program, the third, is to extend tourist activity throughout the year in our destination, and the consequent recovery of employment. Thus, it seeks to establish the recovery process undertaken by the sector, after the negative economic and social consequences generated by the war in Ukraine, especially with regard to uncertainty and loss of purchasing power due to inflation.
This decree contains the requirements and adhesion of the accommodations and travel agencies participating in the program, as well as the criteria for registration and application for aid by interested persons.
When to apply
It should be noted that the 2023 Valencian Community Travel Bonus Program will begin at 10:20 a.m. on December 2022, 10 and will be in force, uninterruptedly, until 30:2023 a.m. on November 2022, XNUMX. The entry into force of this new program leaves without effect the waiting list of the previous program, referring to XNUMX, as well as any registration that is made outside the aforementioned period.
New arrivals
Regarding the novelties of the new edition, it should be noted that the intensity of the aid will be 60% of the cost of the contracted tourist services, regardless of short or long stay, but with a minimum stay of two consecutive nights in the same tourist accommodation, and up to a maximum of 600 euros for aid granted.
In addition to accommodation, the beneficiaries of the Travel Voucher may add to their reservation other services that will also have the bonus, such as maintenance (maximum half board), health and well-being treatments; sport activities; excursions and entertainment activities, and parking.
Individuals who, being of legal age, are registered in a municipality of the Valencian Community and enroll in the program, may benefit from these aids. Likewise, the beneficiaries must be up to date with their tax obligations and before the Social Security.
It must be remembered that each natural person can only be a beneficiary of a grant within the period of validity of the program, and once their Voucher Voucher promotional code has been assigned, they will have 10 business days to formalize their reservation at any of the tourist establishments attached to the program.
Applications must be made only through the electronic procedure on the electronic processing platform of the Generalitat and will again have two steps to follow: request for a prior appointment, which will begin on December 20, and the registration process in the time and day indicated, which will require a certificate and electronic signature.

With regard to companies and entities that want to join the program, travel agencies may do so, as well as tourist accommodation establishments registered in the Valencian Community Tourism Registry, such as hotels, blocks and sets of tourist apartments, campsites, rural houses, hostels and housing management companies for tourist use.
