After the various festivities in April, concerts will resume on Sunday April 27It will then be the turn of the OMA – Marina Alta Orchestra, which will perform at 18:00 p.m. at the churchThe OMA was founded in 1998 (it celebrated its 2023th anniversary in 25) by conductor Francesc Estévez with the aim of filling a significant gap in the culture of the Marina Alta region.
To date he has performed more than 550 concerts, highlighting the one at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Auditorium of the Superior Conservatory of Music in Palma de Mallorca, the Teruel Cathedral and the concert and opera season in Alcoi. He has also recorded various CDs such as the Opera Recital with the tenor José Sempere, the Little Night Serenade or compositions such as the Hymn of the Marina Alta.
Once again, after a few weeks of hiatus during the La Rosa festivities, the concerts will return on Sunday May 18 with the proposal of Connecta Percussió: Over pulse and echoes, the new line-up of the duo led by Carlos Mulet and Adrià Ribes, who now have the accompaniment of percussionist Guillem Serrano and guitarist Rosario Caselles.
The symbiosis born from the union of different percussion instruments and guitars proposes an energetic yet intimate program. The fundamental characteristics shared by these instruments in their sound production shape the transversal discourse on which 'Over Pulse and Echoes' is based. The concert will be at
18:00 PM at the Church of Santa Maria Magdalena.
The following Sunday, May 25at 18:00 p.m. at the church, will close the cycle Little Singers of Valencia, a Valencian choral school with more than 60 years of history made up of boys, girls and adolescents between 5 and 18 years old.
The Pequeños Cantores de Valencia group, made up of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18, is the last of the four choirs that make up the choir school. In it, all the musical and human values learned throughout Albada, Bardissa, and Minicantores are more evident than ever. Their talent is such that in 2013 they were awarded the Gold Medal of the City of Valencia and the Distinction for Cultural Merit from the Generalitat Valenciana for their long career and their notable impact on the world of choirs and Valencian music.
