May 26 from 2022 - 13: 35

The Benissa Department of Equality has launched a campaign based on the principles of co-responsibility within the home. A challenge, often pending, regarding the equitable distribution of tasks at home such as cleaning, cooking or ironing and child care.

The initiative, articulated under the name of Benissa Municipal Co-responsibility Campaign 2022, "Co-responsible Stories", stems from the need to promote positive and egalitarian values that, since the beginning of the mandate, have been the fundamental axis of the policies undertaken by the councilor Lorena Ivars.

The campaign, which began its cycle with a dynamic and participatory workshop with families, has graphic resources and creativities that will appear on the different digital platforms of the local institution in the coming days. Arturo Poquet, mayor of Benissa, highlights the importance of continuing to move towards equality through the creation of benchmarks and, above all, coeducation.

For his part, Ivars has focused his speech on the need to permanently raise awareness, creating a series of resources that can be used over time as a way of promoting memory. Ivars has sentenced saying that "co-responsibility is a task that we must encourage public administrations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year."

The Communication department, involved in part of the process, plans to dose the resources and distribute them in the coming days.
