The Club Náutico Les Basetes, by delegation of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, with the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community, the National Secretariat of the Catamaran Class and in collaboration with the Sports delegation of the Benissa City Council, organizes from 4 to November 6 the Spanish Championship of the Hobie Cat 16 class. A competition modality in which all the boats are practically identical and where the competitive difference is hidden behind the possible technical adjustments that the participants can make to the boat.
The Regatta will be governed by the rules defined in the World Sailing Sailing Regulations 2021-2024, those of the catamaran class, those of Hobie, the RRS, the competition regulations and the Sailing Instructions. Registration fees are set at €50 by pre-registering before November 1, with the registration deadline being November 3. As stated by the Club Náutico Les Bassetes, the participation of about XX athletes from all over the national territory is expected.
The delegate councilor, Adrián Cabrera, still with a hangover after the success of the Benissatlón last weekend, has recognized the immense effort that the council is making to attract all kinds of events and sports modalities to the municipality, declaring that "Benissa is a high-speed sports locomotive that has no intention of slowing down.”
