The councillors for General Services and Urban Planning of the Municipality of Teulada, Mari Cantó and Tony Reig, have visited the works to renovate the sewage and water supply networks that are being carried out in various streets in Moraira. The works are mainly concentrated in the streets of Puerto del Moral, Puerto Espíndola and Puerto del Sol, but also include the streets of Puerto de la Alcúdia, Puerto de Andraix, Puerto Lápice, Puerto Espasante, Puerto de la Vega and a section of the Camino Viejo del Portet.
In total, the project covers 2.190 linear metres of sewerage, an intervention that seeks not only to improve the sanitation service, but also to reduce the risk of flooding and other problems associated with old infrastructures. In addition, connections have been installed up to the doors of homes to facilitate connection to the municipal sewerage system for those who wish to do so.
The budget for this important investment amounts to 1.231.748,19 euros, 65% of which is financed by the Alicante Provincial Council, which is providing 797.552,00 euros through the Planifica Plan, and 35% by the Teulada City Council, which is allocating 436.196,19 euros.
The Councillor for General Services, Mari Cantó, has underlined the importance of this action: "We consider that these are necessary and fundamental works for the improvement of our municipality. We continue to support the renovation and improvement of the sewerage system, therefore, this is one more of the works planned for the sanitation networks."
For his part, the Councillor for Urban Planning, Tony Reig, has pointed out that "these works will improve both the sewage system and the surface of the streets, leaving them paved and in a better condition."
