The latest data update made by the Provincial Firefighters Consortium on the fire that started in the Vall d'Ebo last Saturday due to the impact of lightning has not yet declared the perimeter stabilized. Due to some reproductions of the fire this morning, the number of hectares burned rises to 12.150 and the affected perimeter rises to 100 km, before it was 80 km.
These outbreaks are what have prevented the fire from being considered stabilized, although these latest numbers in hectares and kilometers of burned perimeter will be quite similar to the final data, according to the Fire Department.
As of 19:00 p.m. today, the media that fight the fire will reconnoiter the area in order to offer the following analysis. "The situation right now is that if everything evolves correctly we will be able to declare the fire as stabilized tonight or tomorrow," they say. But to be able to say that it has stabilized completely, the situation must evolve well and there should be no more reproductions like those of the morning.
In this case, once stabilized, the next step would be to control it, although the efforts of the extinction work right now are focused on stabilizing it.
