The Marina Alta woke up today covered in clouds and with some heavy rains. In addition, the State Meteorological Agency has activated the yellow alert for coastal storm on the north coast of Alicante, with a northeasterly wind force 7 and waves between 3 and 4 meters, from 11:00 a.m. to 23:59 p.m.

Monday morning will develop with some rainfall that will alternate between the coast and the interior. However, from the afternoon the rains could be generalized throughout the territory.

In addition, forecasts indicate that Tuesday will also be marked by rain. If nothing changes could last until early Wednesday, therefore, the region will remain covered until mid-week.

cold air mass

All this accompanied by the low temperatures that have been in the news since last week. According to the Climatology Laboratory of the University of Alicante: «A new storm arrives, which will meet the cold air mass that is affecting us in the last hours. The beginning of this next week will be unpleasant, with wind, maritime storm, cold and rain.

Despite the hectic start to the week, once the sun returns on Wednesday, temperatures will also start to rise. The forecast in Xàbia for the next seven days shows this data more clearly, which ranges between 14ºC on Monday and 21ºC or 22ºC starting on Thursday.

The coastal trend will be repeated inside of the High Navy. As in Benigembla, whose maximum temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will not exceed 10ºC.
