More than 1.000 runners gathered last Saturday in Benissa for the XXV Cursa Popular, the last test of the 26th Circuit a Peu de La Marina in 2024. As absolute winners of the race, two athletes from the local club Kamikazes Gang took the title. podium: Adrián Ivars and Rosa Lara Feliu.
732 participants in the big race crossed the finish arch, with a route of 8,3 kilometers. This toured the northern area and crossed to the southern part, where the athletes enjoyed the bay of Calp and the Peñón d'Ifach, to reach the finish line from Purísima Street towards Pare Andrés.
The first place and champion of the Moha Rida Circuit took a backseat, since it was Juanan Fernández and Toni Soler who competed for the continuation of the final podium, falling in favor of the Benidormense Fernández who managed to be third, thus securing the second absolute place in the Circuit.
Regarding the race itself, it was the Benissa athlete Adrián Ivars from CD Kamikazes Gang who managed to be the absolute winner, finishing the test in 27:25, followed by Jaime Díaz Independiente, 27:47 and third the aforementioned Juanan Fernández from CA Benidorm, 28:08.
In the female category, the winner was Rosa Lara Feliu, also from the Kamikazes Gang, who used a time of 30:08. In second place, María Isabel Ferrer, from CA Llebeig, entered Xàbia Publidom with 30:41, and in third position Andrea Abad, from Publidom, completed the podium with a time of 32:03.

Among the athletes from C Ginestar Atletisme Benissa Fran de la Cruz Jordá, from Entrena Benissa, with a time of 29:44, was the first local. Second was Rach Ben, with 36:57, and third was Jonathan Mancha, from the Kamikazes Gang, with a time of 38:11.
In girls, Yolanda García Font, from Kamikazes Gang, with a time of 35:06, was first, Gemma Garrigues Ronda, from Ginestar Benissa, second with 37:26, and Diebrich Bouma completed the local female podium, with a time of 48:36, also from the Kamikazes Gang.
In addition, all the athletes of the C Ginestar Atletisme Benissa, both girls and boys, the first and first in each category obtained their trophy, from the Under 23 Promise category to the Veterans F category, Irene Fornés, Pere Carañana, Raquel Ferrer, Daniel Moreno, Jennifer Abb, Francesc Moncho, Gema Garrigues, Juanfran Cuello, Francisco Molines, Julie Whaley, José María Orihuel, Juan Ivars, Marisa Torres and Juan José Vengut.
