ADAMA: The passion for art of 23 artists from the Marina Alta

Painters, sculptors, photographers ... People who feel art above all else and who 10 years ago came together to form ADAMA, the Association of Artists of the Marina Alta.

Its purpose, as its president has explained to us for two years, the artist from Ondara, Toni Ortolà, is to enjoy his passion. "We like to get together, learn from each other and create so that the public can enjoy art."

And so they do, ADAMA organizes between two and three group exhibitions a year, to make themselves known together and offer residents and visitors to the region a bit of the great art that lives in their municipalities.

The association is formed by 23 artists from the Marina Alta, many of them foreigners who already feel the region as their own.

Since very recently they have been in charge of the management of five shop windows in the Shopping Center Portal de la Marina which has been an opportunity to exhibit their works and give visibility to the artists of the area.

In the association there are profiles of all kinds. "Some of us seek to reflect the exact reality tinged with emotion and others transform it in that search for color through various materials, breaking the mold of reality or everyday life", they explain.

This diversity in their approach and their peculiar way of inquiring into reality is what makes them be an original group in which they enrich each other and share their creations in search of the perfect work.
